
FINANCIAL SUPPORT
FOR QUALITY TRAINING
Academic and Tool scholarships are awarded on an annual basis to students enrolled in FATE-associated programs to encourage them to be a part of the industrial workforce. To be eligible for selection, the applicant must be a current Fairfax County Public School student enrolled in a FATE associated Career and Technical Education (CTE) program with the intention of furthering their education or beginning a career in a related field.
ACE APPRENTICESHIP SCHOLARSHIP
ACE Apprenticeship Scholarship Application
Offered through the Fairfax County Adult and Community Education (ACE) program, the ACE Apprenticeship Scholarship is an award of up to $1800 for one course inclusive of course materials and fees. Students may further their education in one of the Trade and Industry classes listed in the link below that is part of continuing education and work in conjunction with an apprenticeship program.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
Students must meet the following eligibility criteria to be considered for the ACE Apprenticeship Scholarship
- Student must have been enrolled in one of the following Trade and Industrial Education courses below:
Carpentry
Construction Technologies
Electrical Construction and Engineering
Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration
- Student graduated with a Fairfax County Public Schools high school diploma
Must have employment with an approved or employer who can be approved as a Registered Apprenticeship Provider.

Students should collect all information below before accessing their scholarship application:
- Basic student/parent biographical information including annual family income, ages of siblings, and parents' occupation
- Scholarship description needs, including information on your education, experience, and achievements
- Grade Point Average at end of the first semester of senior year
- List of volunteer and work experiences (jobs) with a brief description of duties
- Extracurricular activities by name and year of participation (i.e. club memberships, leadership positions, awards, and honors)
- NO RECOMMENDATION LETTERS NEEDED
The ACE Apprenticeship scholarships are good for one year after graduation for any ACE course that is associated with the scholarship. If the scholarship is not used within that time frame, the awardee will forfeit the scholarship.
ACADEMIC SCHOLARSHIP
Academic Scholarship Application
This scholarship may be used for furthering a student's education at a trade school, community college, other college or university. The post-secondary field of study should relate to the student's coursework in high school and field of study is in one of the areas listed below. Scholarship awards are between $1,000 and $5,000 each.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
- Current seniors who are taking or have taken and will pursue a career in a related field:
Automotive Collision
Automotive Technology
Carpentry
Construction Technologies
Criminal Justice
Electrical Construction and Engineering
Entrepreneurship
Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration

TOOL SCHOLARSHIP
These scholarships are meant for funding students who are seeking a direct route to the industry after graduating high school and require tools to perform their jobs. Scholarship awards are between $500 and $1,000 each.

Electrical Construction and Engineering
Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration

The Tool scholarships are fulfilled immediately after award with the assistance of the awardees high school instructor. If the scholarship is not used within that time frame, the awardee will forfeit the scholarship.
